have been suggested for the rebuilding of the burnt Tobacco
Warehouses, and report to the General Assembly of Mary-
land, which sites would be most advantagous to the inter-
ests to be represented.

We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs.
Gwynn, Brown, Bird and Mattingly.

Mr, Bannon submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

March 3d, 1876.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message, proposing the appoint-
ment of a Joint Committee by the Senate and the House of
Delegates, to visit the City of Baltimore, to examine the pro-
posed sites for locating the Tobacco Warehouses Nos. 1 and
2, and concur therein.

We have appointed Messrs. Bannon, Hepbron and Suit,
upon the part of the Senate.

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

On. motion by Mr. Lloyd, it was

Ordered, That the Secretary of the Senate, with the ap-
proval of the President of the Senate, shall, at once, purchase
a fire-proof safe for the use of the Senate, and that the Com-
mittee on Claims be, and are hereby, directed to pay for
the same.

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the general
valuation and assessment of property in this State,

Being upon its second reading,
On moticn by Mr. Lloyd,

Was ordered to lie over and be made the order of the day
for Tuesday, March 7, at 2 o'clock.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at
January Session, 1874, entitled An Act to repeal an Act
passed January Session, 1870, "relating to the registration of
voters, and to re-enact the same with amendments' and
each and all the Sections of Article , title "Registration,"
