purposes in this State and for a Board of Directors upon the
inspections of Illuminating Oils and Fluids.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 325, of the
Acts of 3872, entitled an Act to repeal Section 59 of the Act
of 1868, chapter 471, entitled an Act to repeal Article 26, of
the Code of Public General Laws, and to enact a substitute;
and to repeal Section 22, of Article 16, Section 99 to 103, of
the same Article, and Sections 33 to 43, of Article 88, of the
the Code of Public" General Laws, and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

Which were read the first time and ordered to printed.

Also,

Senate bill entitled an Act authorizing the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, to provide for the Inspection of Coal
Oil in the City of Baltimore, and for the appointment of In-
spectors for that purpose.

With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Line 3 of the title, strike out the word "Coal," and insert
after the word "Oil," the words "and Fluids used for illu-
minating purposes."

Sec. 1, line 4, after the word "of," strike out "Coal Oil,"
and insert "all kinds of Oil and Fluids for illuminating pur-
posses."

Which were adoptee.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Lloyd, from the Committee on Finance, reported fa-
vorably,

House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay John J. Albott, late Collector of State taxes in

Carroll county, the amount overpaid by him into the Treas-
ury.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Gorman from the Committee on Finance, reported
iavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to require a license for any per-
son who shall exercise the business of a real estate broker, or
in any way hold themselves out lor such business purposes.

Which was read the first time, and
On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Was referred to the Committee on. Judicial Proceedings.

Mr. Brewer, from a Select Committee, reported favorably
