SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Mr. McCnlloh, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
porsed favorably the following hills:
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, Section 2, of chapter 417, of the Acts of 1858,
authorising the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, to es-
tablish an inspection and measurement of Gas and Gas Me-
tres in said city.
Which was read the first time.
House bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of 1867, chap-
ter 237, entitled an Act to incorporate the Beneficial Savings
Fund Society, of Baltimore, by changing its name.
House bill entitled an Act to amend the Act entitled an
Act to incorporate the Woodberry Manufacturing Company,
of Baltimore county.
Which were read the second time.
Mr. Dennis, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably the following bills:
Senate bill entitled an Act to add additional Sections to
Article 29, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Courts," sub-title "Judgments." to follow Section 19, to
enable judgment creditors to secure liens against real estate
of defendants lying in another county or city.
Senate hill entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re-enact
Section 14, of Article 18, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Clerks of Courts."
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 41, 43, 44,
45, 47, 48, 49, 50. 51, 55, 59, 60, 61, 65 and 69, of Article
47, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Inheritance,"
and to repeal and re-enact the same with amendments, Sec-
tions 46, 52, 53, 54, 58, 64 and 68, of the same Article.
Senate bill entitled an Act to add a new Section to the
Code of Public General Laws, Article 16, title "Chancery,"
sub-title "Non Compos Mentis," to follow Section 87, pro-
viding for the cases of Wards who may be non compos mentis
when they reach majority, and are unable to settle with their
guardians.
