Senate bill entitled an Act to add two new Sections to
Article 40, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Fines
and Forfeitures."

Which were read the first time.

And unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of Thomas Sudler,
guardian of Asbury White, of Somerset county.
Which was adopted.

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably,

Houi-e bill entitled an Act to authorise the bequests of Geo.
W. Jonson, to the German Lutheran Evangelical Saint Mat-
thews Congregation, of Baltimore.

With the following amendment:

Section 1, line 2, strike out the word "leave," and insert,
the word "sanction."

Which was adopted.

Said bill as amended, was then read the second time.

Mr. Lloyd, from the Committee on Finance reported favor-
ably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the General Val-
uation and Assessment of Property in this State.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Walsh, from the Committee on Finance, reported fa-
vorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to refund to the executor or ad-
ministrator of Saml. H. Birckhead, deceased, late Collector
of the 1st District of Harford county, a sum of money erro-
neously paid into the Treasury.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably the following bills :

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 58 of Article
29, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Courts," sub-
title "Circuit Court of Baltimore," and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 42 of Article
37, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Evidence,"
sub-title "Proof of Foreign Debts and other Instruments,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which were read the first time.

Mr. Bannon, from the Committee on Public Buildings,
