Mr. Stevens, from Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Court of Ap-
peals to hear the appeal of the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore and James M. Anderson, Collector, against the
Grand Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd-Fellows ia
relation to the opening of Lexington street.

Which was read the first time.
On motion by Mr. Stevens,

The Rules were suspended so as to give said bill a second
reading this day, as follows :

Senate bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction of the
General Assembly to the bequests of John Gunby to the
Commissioners of the Presbyterian Church, Old School, at
Snow Hill, Maryland, and to the Snow Hill Presbyterian
Church of Worcester county,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

SENATE JOINT RESOLUTIONS.

Making it unlawful for railroad or other corporations or
companies to issue, or officers of the State government to re-
ceive, permits or passes for free travel,

Were read the second time and referred to the Committee
on Judicial Proceedings.
