Mr. Aydelotte submitted the following message.

BY THE SENATE,

Jan'y 13th, 1876.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We respectfully propose with the concurrence of your Hon-
orable Body the appointment of a Joint Committee consisting
of three members of the Senate, and four members of the
House of Delegates, to take in consideration such portions of
the Governor's Message as relates to the boundary question
between this State and the State of Virgfnia, who may re-
port by bill or otherwise.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Aydelotte, Dennis and Walsh.

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

Mr. Phelps from Select Committee, reported favorably.

Senate bill entitled an act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, Sec. 4 of Art. 64, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title "Mortgages."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Mr. Ford from Select Committee, reported favorably,

Senate Bill entitled an act to authorize the Clerk of the
Circuit Court of Queen Anne's county, to copy Index of
Deeds.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Dennis, from Select Committee, reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend chapter 218 of the
Acts of 1856, relating to the Methodist Episcopal Church in
Princess Anne, in Somerset county.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Getty, from Select Committee, reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the removal of
guardianships from the office of the Register of Wills in
Allegany county to Garrett county, where the guardian and
ward or wards reside in Garrett county.

Which was read the first time.
