power upon the County Commissioners of Garrett county, by
adding the following Sections to chapter 212, passed at Jan-
uary Session, 1872.

Also, by Mr. Getty,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Getty, McCulioh and New-
comer, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal the Sec-
tions of Public Local Laws of Article 1, from 107 to 141, both
inclusive, in relation to the National Road lying within the
limits of Allegany and Garrett counties, and to enact the
following in lieu thereof.

On motion by Mr. Bannon,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance, to intro-
duce a bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay Chas. R. Harman, for expenses incurred during an ar-
rest under the Enforcement Act.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
introduce a bill to amend the Act of 1853, chapter 88, enti-
tled an Act to incorporate the Pittsburg and Connellsville
Railroad Company.

On motion by Mr. Knight,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries, to introduce a bill entitled an Act
to regulate the catching, and to provide for the preserva-
tion of fish in the waters of the State and of the Potomac
river.

Mr. Brewer, from Committee on Agriculture, reported fa-
vorably,

(Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Article 28, of the Code
of Public General Laws, title "Commissioners," sub-title
"Meridian Line Standard," and re-enact the same with
amendments.

With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend by striking out all after the words "A Bill," and
insert the following:

"A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments Sections 111, 112 and 113, of Article 28, of the Code
of Public General Laws, title "County Commissioners," sub-
title "Meridian Line Standard."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 111, 112 and 113, of Article 28, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "County Commissioners,"
sub-title "Meridian Line Standard," be and the same are
hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as follows:
