Memorial of 28 citizens of Talbot county, relating to the
confession of judgments by the Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Which were read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Memorial of 55 citizens of Talbot county, asking the ap-
propriation of $100,000 be continued for colored schools in
this State.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.

Memorial of 16 citizens of Talbot county, praying the
passage of a law requiring all grain sold in Baltimore to be
weighed by a State Weigher.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Dennis presented the memorial of sundry citizens of
Dublin, Somerset county, for a change in the place of hold-
ing elections in said district.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Dentiis, Aydelotte

and Humphreys.

Mr. Getty presented the memorial of Henry Kahl and 51
others, citizens of Garrett county, praying that the law be
amended, so as to elect the Board of County School Commis-
sioners by a vote of the people.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on. Educa-
tion.

Mr. Humphreys presented the memorial of 132 citizens of
Wicomico county, asking for the repeal of the Fence Law for
Wicomico county, passed January Session, 1874.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Stetner presented the memorial of George W. Bar-
rick, Joshua Biggs, John W. Staub and 195 others, protest-
ing against the passage of an Act looking towards the crea-
ation of a new district in Frederick county, to be formed out
of Creagerstown District.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Steiner, Mudd and
Humphreys.

On motion by Mr. Duke, it was

Ordered, That the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
fee required to enquire and report, by bill or otherwise, the
propriety of abolishing the manufacturing of all intoxicating
liquors in this State, and prohibiting the sale of the same in

said State, under a very heavy penalty,

On motion by Mr. Getty,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to confer additional
