Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

House bill entitled an Act to amend the Act entitled an Act
to incorporate the Woodherry Manufacturing Company, of
Baltimore county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact chapter
279, of the Acts of 1870, relating to "Landlord and Tenant."

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

House bill entitled an act to authorize the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Kent county, to have several of the Land
Record Books of said county rebound, and to continue the
general index of Judgments and decrees on the dockets
of said Court from the year 1864.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Hepbron, Ford and Lawrence.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 3, of chapter
381, of the Acts of 1872, entitled "an Act to provide for the
destruction of Hawks and Owls, and to protect the small
birds known as Insectivorous Birds m Prince George's, Tal-
bot and Montgomery counties," and to re-enact the same with
amendments, so as to exclude Montgomery snd Talbot coun-
ties, from the provisions of said Sections.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Lawrence, Lloyd and Brewer

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 17, of Article
13, of the Public Local Laws of Howard county, and to re-
enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Gorman, Cooper and Phelps.

And returned,

Senate bill entitled an Act to regulate the building of
mill dams on streams where the public road crosses such
stream, and the keeping of the same in repair in Wicomico
county.

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays,"

On motion by Mr. Bannon,
The Senate at 2.25 P. M. adjourned.
