ployees of the Senate, and all persons who are drawing pay
for any service to, or on account of the Senate, the time when
and by what authority they were appointed.

And be it farther ordered, That no employee of the Senate
be paid any per diem than the amount due from the date he
shall have been appointed or employed.

And that a copy of this order be transmitted by the Secre-
tary to the Committee on Claims of the Honse of Delegates.
On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce the following bills:

A bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 42, of Article 37,
of the Code of Public General taws, title "Evidence," sub-
title "Proof of foreign debts and other instruments," and to-
re-enact the same with amendments.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 58, of Article 29,
of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Courts," sub-title
"Circuit Court of Baltimore," and to re-enact the same with,
amendments.

On motion by Mr. Walsh,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to refund monies to the estate of Samuel H. Birck-
head, late Collector of Taxes for 1st District, Harford county,
erroneously paid into the Treasury of the State,
On motion by Mr. Lloyd,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments Section 6, Article 69, Code of Public General Laws,
title "Officers."

Mr. McCnlloh from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably the following bills.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, Sections 1 and 3, of chapter 35, of the Acts of
1864, entitled an Act to incorporate the Methodist Episcopal
Church at Port Deposit, providing for the election of Trus-
tees of said Church.

Which, was read the second time.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorise the Potomac Bridge
Company to borrow money and issue bonds therefor.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the Constitution of the
"Henry Watson Childrens' Aid Society," of Baltimore, as
the same was enacted by Act of 1872, chapter 14

Which were read the first time.

Mr. Steiner from the Select Committee, reported favorably,
