Senate bill entitled an Act to pay and compensate D. James
Blackiston, for services in the United States Court, in defense
of Officers of Registration presented therein for violation as
alleged of the Act of Congress, entitled "an Act to enforce
the right of citizens of the United States, to vote in the sev-
eral States of the Union, and for other purposes."

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Lloyd, from Committee on Finance, reported unfa-
vorably,

The memorial of sundry citizens of Dorchester county,
praying an appropriation for the establishment of a Female
High School in the town of Vienna.
