320 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 29,

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliver-
ed the following bills,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, Section 1 and 3, of chapter 35, of the Acts of
1864, entitled an Act to incorporate the Methodist Episcopal
Church at Port Deposit, providing for the election of Trus-
tees of said church.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Cor-
porations.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments that part of Article 21 of the Code of Public
Local Laws contained between Sections 314 and 334, both
inclusive, title "Washington county," sub-title ''Williams-
port, '' and to confirm and make valid the election held in
said town on the 1st Monday in March, 1875, for Burgess,
Assistant Burgess and five Commissioners for said town, and
to confirm and make valid the action of the said officers so
elected in appointing a Bailiff for said town.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Newcomer, Duke
and Phelps.

Mr. Newcomer from Select Committee, to whom was re-
ferred said bill, reported the same without amendment, and

On motion by Mr. Newcomer,

The Rules were suspended so as to give said bill a second
reading this day, by yeas and nays as follows:
