Which was read and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

Mr. Knight presented the memorial of James McCoy, a
soldier of the war of 1812, praying that a pension foe granted,
him.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr, Aydelotte presented the memorial of James A. Barnes,
and 33 others, citizens of Worcester county, praying that
the Local Option Law of said county, may not De repealed.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

Mr. Lloyd presented the memorial of Alcade Pratt, Ed.
Bay, and 50 others, citizens of Talbot couuty, praying the
enactment of a law to prevent stock from running at large.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Agriculture.

On motion by Mr. Steiner, it was

Ordered, That the Senator from Wicomico have leave of
absence until Wednesday, March 1st.

On motion by Mr. Brewer,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Brewer, Lawrence and
Foid, to introduce a bill to divide the Second Election DJs-
trjct, in St. Mary's county.

On motion by Mr Ford,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Ford, Getty and Law-
rence, to introduce a bill to incorporate the Town of Church
Hill, Queen Anne's county, Maryland.
On motion by Mr. Phelps,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Phelps, Aydelotte and Coop-
er, to introduce a bill to repeal Sec. 62, of chap. 99, passed
at January Session, 1874, relating to Attorney's fees, and; to
re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion by Mr. Aydelotte,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Education, to in-
troduce a bill to authorize the Board of County School Com-
missioners, of Worcester county, to use a portion of the School
Fund of said county, for the building of school houses, and
for other purposes.

On motion by Mr. Hepbron,

Leave was granted to Messrs, Hepbron, Ford aad Getty, to

intrudace a bill to repeal Sec. 4, of an Act of the General

Assembly, passed at the January Session, 1862, chap. 101,

entitled " an Act to incorporate a company for the establish-
