Was read the second time and ordered to he engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act, authorizing the Commissioners
of Salisbury, Wicomico county, to purchase and "hold a piece
of ground to build a Market House thereon, and to pass or
dinances regulating the buying, selling or huckstering on
the street of said town,

Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Humphreys submitted the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Lection 2, line 13, strike out all after the word "Commis-
sioners," and insert "provided that no bond shall be issued
at less than par.''

Section 3, line 4, strike out the words "provided that no
bond shall be issued at less than par."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sub-section 3 of Sec-
tion 37, and Section 93, of chapter 471, of the Acts of 1868,
entitled an Act to repeal Article 26, of the Code of Public
General Laws, and to enact a substitute therefor, and to re-
peal Section 22 of Article 16, Sections 99 to 103 of the same
Article, and Sections 33 to 43, of Article 88, of the Code of
Public General Laws, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the National
Railroad Company of Maryland,

Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Suit submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 3, line 5, after word "subscribed," insert "and
paid in, in actual cash."

Which was adopted.

Mr. Brewer submitted the following amendment:

Add the following Section :

''26. And be it enacted, That the general Assembly reserves
the right to repeal, alter or amend the provisions of this Act
at pleasure.''

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
