nis and Aydelotte.

Mr. Brewer presented the memorial of John W. McDon-
nell, Phillip Stone, and 15 others, citizens of Montgomery
county, praying the passage of an Act requiring all grain
carried to Baltimore to be weighed by a State Weigher.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Mudd presented the memorial of P. W. Hawkins, G.
L. Mudd, Rev. Henry Vote, and 173 others, praying the
passage of a Local Option Law for the State of Maryland.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.

Mr. Newcomer presented the memorial of 46 citizens of
Keedysville, praying the passage of an Act amending chap.
251 of the Acts of 1872.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Newcomer, Free-
man and Duke.

Mr. Walsh presented the memorial of Thomas Hope and
others, citizens of Harford county, protesting against the
passage of a law providing for the appointment of a County
Treasurer.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

Memorial of Alien Hoffman and others, citizens of Har-
ford county, against the passage of a law providing for the
appointment of a County Treasurer.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Fi-

Memorial of W. C. Maynadier and others, citizens of Har-
ford county, against the passage of a law appointing a
County Treasurer.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

Memorial of Geo. W. Brown and 50 others, citizens of
Harford county, praying the passage of an Act to allow the
Board of County School Commissioners to be elected by the
people.
