"An Act to incorporate the Trustees of the Methodist Episco-
pal Church in Princess Anne, &c."
On motion by Mr. Ford,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Ford, Getty and Hepbron, lo
introduce a bill authorizing the Clerk of Queen Anne's
county, to make a copy of the last general index in the Clerk's
office of said county.
On motion by Mr. Getty,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Getty, Ford and McCullough,
to introduce a bill authorizing the removal of guardian ac-
counts from the office of Register of Wills of Allegany
county to the office of Register of Wills of Garrett county,
where the guardian and ward or wards reside in Garrett
county.
On motion by Mr. Mudd,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce a bill to prohibit any one holding am office
of profit or trust under the State or Federal Government
from acting as Registrar, Judge or Clerk of election.
On motion by Mr. Humphreys,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Humphreys, Aydelotte and
Dennis to introduce a bill entitled an Act to regulate the
building of mill-dams on streams where the public road
crosses such stream and the keeping the same in repair in
Wicomico county.
On motion by Mr. Phelps, it was
Ordered, That the Joint Committee of the Senate and
House of Delegates appointed under section 24, of Article
three, of the Constitution, are hereby required to at onee
examine into the Comptroller and Treasurer's offices and
the various branches and departments thereof, and report
upon the same to the two Houses of the General Assembly
as soon as a thorough, impartial and proper investigation of
the same has been made, and that they have leave to sit
during the session of this House, if they deem it necessary,
and to send for persons and papers.
Mr. Brewer, from the Select Committee, reported favora-
bly
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 48 and 49, of
Article 5, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Ap-
peals," and to re-enact the same with amendments.
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.
