House bill entitled an Act to provide for the proper repre-
sentation of the State of Maryland at the celebration of the
one-hundredth anniversary of American Independence.

Mr. Stevens moved to substitute said bill for the unfavora-
ble report.

Which was decided in the negative by yeas and nays, as
follows:

The question recurring upon the adoption of the report,

It was adopted,

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Cooper, from Select Committee, reported unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the opening and
extension of Camden or Conway street, in the City of Balti-
more.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Walsh, from Select Committee, reported favorably,

Senate hill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed Janu-
ary Session, 1874, chapter 42, relating to fish and fisheries,
and to enact a substitute therefor.

Which was read the first time.

Senate Joint Resolutions protesting against that Section of
the Morrison Tariff bill, now pending in Congress, by which
bituminous coal is placed on the free list, as being destructive
to an important interest of this State,

Were read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 81, of Article
14, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Kent County,"
sub-title "County Commissioners," and to amend and re-en-
act the same with amendments, and to add a sub-section
thereto, and to provide for the appointment of two County
