Senate bill entitled an Act.to provide for the proper repre-
sentation of the State of Maryland at the celebration of the
hundredth anniversary of American Independence,

With the following amendment:

Section 1, line 2, strike out "twenty-five" and insert
"ten."

Mr. Stevens moved to amend the amendment as follows :

Strike out "ten" and insert "twenty-five."

Which was decided in the negative by yeas and nays as
follows:
