On motion by Mr. Knight,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to add an additional
Section to Article 30, of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Horse Steal-
ing."

On motion by Mr. Getty,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to appropriate a sum of money to pat in repair
the National Road from Cumberland, West, to the Pennsyl-
vania line.

On motion by Mr, Stevens, (by unanimous consent,)

Senate bill entitled an Act. to repeal Section 25, of Article
4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "City of Bal
timore," and to re-enact the same with amendments, which
had heretofore been reported from a Select Committee, and
ordered to be printed,

Was recommitted to the Select Committee.
On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Committee an Finance to in-
troduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commissioner
of the Land Office to continue the indexing of certain land
records and extracts of deeds transferred to the Land Office
from the office of the Clerk of the Court of Appeals, under
the Act of 1874, chapter 66.

Mr. Knight, from Committee on Agriculture, reported
unfavorably,

The memorial of the Maryland State Grange, praying the
passage of an Act for the better protection of Sheep from dogs
in the Sate of Maryland.

Which was adopted.

OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF THE SENATE,

Annapolis, February 17th, 1876.

The following Senate bill, having passed both Branches of
the General Assembly of Maryland, was this day presented
to His Excellency, the Governor, for his approval :

No. 26, an Act to provide for the payment to Isaac D.
Jones of the balance of his claim made to the General As-
semby of 1874, for expenses and compensation as one of the
Commissioners to adjust the Boundary Line between the
States of Virginia and Maryland.
