Mr. Humphreys, presented the memorial of 46 citiaens of
Wicomico county, praying the passage of an Act prohibiting
the staking of seines across the tide in Wicomico River.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Chesa-
peake Bay and its Tributaries.

Mr. Hepbron presented the memorial of 152 citizens of
Kent county, protesting against the repeal of the Grand Jury
License Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

On motion by Mr. Dennis,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial proceed-
ings, to introduce the following bills:

A bill to repeal and re-enact Section 14, of Article 18, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title ''Clerks of Courts."

A bill for the relief of Thomas Sudler, Guardian of As-
bury White, of Somerset county.

A bill to add additional Sections to the Cole of Public
General Lawn, Article 29, title "Courts," sub-title "Judg-
ments."

A bill adding new Sections to the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Fines and Forfeitures," Article 40.

A hill to add a new Section to the Code of Public General
Laws, Article 16, title "Chancery," sub-title "non compos
mentis."

Also, by Mr. Dennis,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Dennis, Aydelotte and Hum-
phreys, to introduce a bill to repeal and re-enact Section 10,
of chapter — passed 13 March, 1867, incorporating "The
Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Somerset and Worcester
counties."

On motion by Mr. Ford,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Ford, Getty and Hepbron,
to introduce a, bill to form a new District, or voting Precinct
in Queen Anne's county.

On motion by Mr. Steiner,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions, to intro-
duce a bill to replace on the Pension List, the name of Cath-
arine Shryock, of Frederick county, the widow of Henry
Shryock, a soldier of the war of 1812.
On motion by Mr. Humphreys,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill authorizing Sarah. A. B. Brewing-
ton to settle her accounts 4s guardian with, George P. Brew-
ington, minor.
