On motion by Mr. Lloyd,

Was ordered to lie over and be made the order of the day
for Thursday, February 17th, at 1 o'clock.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize trustees to transfer
trust funds to trustees duly appointed in other States.

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article 67, of the
Code of Public General Laws of this State, title "Notaries
Public," by repealing the 1st section thereof, and re-enact-
ing the said section with amendments increasing the number
of Notaries Public in the City of Baltimore, and by adding to
said Article an additional section giving Notaries Public power
to take the acknowledgments of deeds, bills of sales and mort-
gages, or other writings required to be recorded, and to ad-
minister any oaths or affirmations required by law to be made
to or concerning the same.

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the
Worcester Railroad Company and its supplements.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs. Ay-
delotte, Stevens and Phelps.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 619, 620, 62S,
626, 627 and 628 of Article 4 of the Public Local Laws, title
"City of Baltimore," sub-title "Justices of the Peace and
Constables," and to re-enact certain Sections in lieu of the
Sections so repealed.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to repaal Section 2 of Article 37
of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Evidence," sub-
title "Competency of Witnesses," as amended by the Act of
January Session, 1874, chapter 385, and to amend and re-
enact the same.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings."

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 476 of the
Acts of 1870, entitled "an Act to provide for the creation
and regulation of incorporated companies in the State of
Maryland," and to enact a substitute therefor,
