BALTIMORE, Feb. 12th, 1876.
To the Hon. Daniel Fields,

President of the Senate.

Sir : —I have the honor to respectfully invite your Honor-
able Body to be present at the inspection of this regiment,
on the 18th inst., at 8 30 o'clock, P. M., at the armory of
the 5th Regiment, M. N. G.

Which were read.

On motion by Mr. Stevens,
The invitation was respectfully accepted by the Senate.

Mr. Stevens, (by unanimous consent,) reported favorably
from Select Committee,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 25, of Article
4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "City of Balti-
more," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time, and ordered to be printed.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1874, chap-
ter 338, entitled an Act for the taxation of Dogs in Mont-
gomery county,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act, supplementary to an Act,
passed at January Session, 1852, entitled an Act to incor-
porate the Santa Clara Mining Association of Baltimore, au-
thorizing said Association to make and enforce' payment of
all calls or assessments upon its capital stock heretofore made
or hereafter to be made,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to pay to Levin L. Waters a
sum of money due him from the State,

Being upon a second reading,
On motion by Mr. Dennis,

Was recommitted to the Committee on Finance.

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the payment of a
sum of money to I. Nevitt Steele, Philip F. Thomas and S.
Teackle Wallis, for professional services rendered the State
in the prosecution of its claims against the Baltimore and
Ohio Railroad Company,

Being upon its second reading,
