The memorial of A. C. Heaton, President, and James E.
Elgood, Secretary, of a convention of the citizens of Somer-
set, Worcester and Wicomico counties, held at Salisbury, on
the 3rd and 4th of February, 1876, praying the passage of a
Local Option Law for Wicomico county, and to extend the
Local Option Laws for Worcester and Somerset counties to
the districts not now included in said laws.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

Mr. McCulloh presented the report of the Surgeon in charge
of the Baltimore Eye and Ear Institute.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

On motion by Mr. Brewer,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill entitled an Act to release certain claims of the
State against Collectors and Sheriffs of Montgomery county.
On motion by Mr. Aydelotte,

Leave was granted to the Joint Committee on the Boun-
dary Line between the States of Maryland and Virginia, to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to fill the vacancy now exist-
ing, or any that may occur in the Board of Arbitrators, to
ascertain and fix the boundary line between the States of
Maryland and Virginia.

Also, by Mr. Aydelotte,

To same Committee, leave to introduce a bill entitled an
Act to provide for the payment of the Counsel employed to
represent the State in the arbitration between Maryland and
Virginia, upon the boundary line between the said States, and
to appropriate a sum of money therefor, and for other ex-
penses of the said arbitration.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill entitled an Act to regulate the levy for State
purposes for the year 1876, and for subsequent years.

Also, by Mr. Gorman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to prevent trespassing upon Railroad
ears.

On motion by Mr. Lloyd,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill entitled an Act to refund Taxes on License to
Hugh B. Valliant and T. T. Avalier, erroneously paid.
