218 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 14,

Senatcrs to attend the funeral of the Hon. Reverdy Johnson,
on Monday next.

On motion by Mr. Walsh,

The vote by which said order was adopted,

Was reconsidered.

Mr. Phelps moved to amend said order as follows :

Strike out "Tuesday, the 15th," and insert "Monday, the
14th."

Strike out all after the word "clock."

Which were adopted.

The question recurring upon the adoption of the order as
amended,

It was adopted.

Mr. Stevens, at 1 P. M., moved that in respect to the
memory of the Hon. Reverdy Johnson, the Senate do now
adjourn.

Which was adopted.

MONDAY, February 14th, 1876.

Senate met at 12 M.

Prayer by Rev. Father, Schwartz,

Present at the roll call the following Senators :

Messrs. President, Aydelotte, Brewer, Duke, Dennis,
Freeman, Ford, Gorman, Joyce, Lee, Lawrence, Lloyd,
McCulloh, Newcomer, Phelps, Stevens, Steiner, Suit—18.

Proceedings of Friday's session read and approved.

Mr. Joyce presented the memorial of D. Front and 28
others in opposition to the extension of Camden or Conway
street.

Which was read and referred te the Senators from Balti-
more city.

Mr. Aydelotte presented the memorial of Rev. J. S. Polk
and T. H. Dryden, President and Secretary of a meeting of
the citizens of Coston District, in Worcester county, in oppo-
sition to the repeal of the Local Option Law in said county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on. Fi-
nance.
