On motion by Mr. Lee,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to refund to Joel Haines, of Carroll county, 28
dollars, taxes erroneously paid by him to the State.
On motion by Mr. McCulloh,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 145, of the Act
of 1874, chapter 483, title "Revenue and Taxes," and to re-
enact the same with amendments,
On motion by Mr. Lee,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intro-
duce a bill to reinstate Lewis Green, of Carroll county, upon
the pension roll.

On motion by Mr. Hepbron,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Hepbron. Lawrence and
Ford to introduce a bill to increase the number of County
Commissioners for Kent county; also, to change the plan of
working roads in said county.
On motion by Mr. Bannon,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to appropriate a sum of money to defray expenses
of the Adjutant General in defending a mandamus to main-
tain possession of the Adjutant General's office and its
archives.

On motion by Mr. Getty,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Gorman, Ford and Cooper
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 76, 6f
the Acts of the General Assembly, passed at the January
Session, 1874, entitled an Act to locate the "County Seat of
Garrett county," and to enact the following in lieu thereof.

Mr. Brewer from the Committee on Agriculture, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1874, chap-
ter 338, entitled an Act for the taxation of dogs in Mont-
gomery county.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. McCulloh, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act, to in-
corporate the Citizens' Railway Company of Baltimore city,
passed at the January Session, 1870, with the following
amendment:

Sec. 1, line 2, after the word "Act," insert "entitled an
Act to incorporate the Citizens' Railway Company of Balti-
more city," passed at the January Session, 1870.

Which was adopted.
