his attendance on Wednesday next at 12 o'clock, M., in the
Senate Chamber, to qualify according to the Constitution and
form of government of this State.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate Messrs. Lloyd
and Walsh.

Which was read, assented to and sent to the House of
Delegates.

The Senate, at 2.40 P. M., adjourned.

FRIDAY, Jan. 7,1876.
Senate met at 12 M.
Prayer by Rev. Mr. Lemon.
Present at roll call, the following Senators :

Messrs. President, Aydelotte, Bannon, Brewer, Duke,
Freeman, Ford, Getty, Gorman, Knight, Lawrence, Mc-
Cullough, Mudd, Phelps, Stevens, Steiner, Suit—17.

Proceedings of yesterday read and approved.

Mr. Phelps presented the memorial of E. W. Lecompte
and others, citizens of Dorchester county, praying the pas-
sage of an Act allowing the guardian of Wm. P. Mills, a
minor, to pass a final account, and to allow said minor to
take charge of his property.

On motion by Mr. Aydelotte, it was

Ordered, That the Hon. Thomas Humphreys, of Wicomico
county, be allowed leave of absence for a few days.

Which was adopted.
On motion by Mr. Suit, it was

Ordered, That the Postmaster of the Senate, be and he is
hereby required to furnish to each Senator the same amount
of postage stamps furnished at the last session of the Senate,
