112 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 27,

Mr. Walsh, from the Joint Committee on Public Build-
ings, submitted the following

REPORT.

The Joint Committee on Public Buildings respectfully re-
port, that in obedience to Senate order adopted January 19,
1876, they visited the Governor's Mansion, and recommend
that the sum of three thousand dollars be appropriated for
repairs to furniture, and 'procuring articles necessary for the
uses of the Executive Mansion.

Chairman House Committee.

Which was road and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.

On motion by Mr. Brewer,

The memorial of the Maryland State Grange, in regard to
the class of wandering mendicants called tramps, heretofore
presented, and which was referred to the Committee on Ag-
ricultnre, was transferred to the Committee on Judicial Pro-
ceedings, with instructions to report a bill in accordance
with the requirements of the memorial.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 2, 5 and 7, of
Article 13, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Bas-
tardy and Fornication,"

Being upon its second reading,
Mr. Walsh submitted the following amendment:
In 7th Section, line 11, strike out 50 and insert 100.
Which was decided in the affirmative by yeas and nays as
follows :
