Mr. Dennis submitted the following amendment:

Insert at the end of the 5th Section, "And on the trial of
any such case the defendant may, upon his own offer, be a
competent witness in his own behalf."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time, and
ordered to be engrosspd for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act supplementary to ap Act, to
incorporate the Citizens Railway Company of Baltimore city,
passed at the January Session 1870,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the 93rd Article, of
the Code of Public General Laws, relating to "Testamen-
tary Law," by adding a new Section thereto, relating to
Devises.

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossad for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 167, of Art. 4,
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore city, title
"Courts," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Being upon its second reading,

On motion by Mr. Stevens, was ordered to lie over.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sec. 36, of Art, 10,.
of the Code of Public General Laws, as re-enacted by chap.
45, of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1874, relating
to Attachments, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Being upon its second reading,

On motion by Mr. Gorman, was ordered to lie over un-
til to-morrow the 28th.

Senate Joint Resolutions, extending the time of service of
the Honorable Richard J. Bowie, Chief Judge of the sixth
Judicial Circuit.

Being upon their third reading,

On motion by Mr. Brewer, were ordered to lie over un-
til to-morrow the 28th.

Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of Rachel Wil-
son, by refunding State and County Taxes erroneously paid.

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
