AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
First amendment proposed:
Strike out all after the word "cduuty," in line 3 of Sec. 1,
and insert, "except so far as the same relates to the first
election district, be, and the same is hereby repealed, and
the following enacted in lieu thereof, bnt not to apply to the
first election district of said county.''
Second amendment proposed:
Strike out all after the word "property" in line 8, of Sec.
4, and insert "and if this report in writing, that the en-
closure at the part entered upon by said live stock, was in-
sufficient to keep out live stock not breachy or mischievous,
or that not being able, after examining carefully to discover
where said live stock entered upon said property, that they
have examined said enclosure, and find it insufficient to keep
out live stock not mischievous, though in either event no
damage shall be allowed for such trespass."
Amend the title by striking out of the same all after the
word "county," and insert in lieu thereof, "except so far as
the same relates to the first election district, and to enact the
following in lieu thereof."
Which were severally read and adopted.
The bill, as amended, was then read a second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to prevent hogs and geese from
running at large in and within two miles of the village of
Urbana, in Frederick county,
Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as
