Mr. Bird submitted the following order:
Ordered, That the Annapolis and Elk Ridge Railroad
Company, forthwith report to this House, what bonds have
been issued by them, the amount and description thereof,
and how the same are secured, to whom and for what pur-
pose, and by what authority the same have bsen issued, how
many of the said bonds have been applied, disposed of, or
sold or hypothecated, and to whom and for what purpose,
and at what price, and how many of the said bonds are now
in their hands, and under their control.
Which was adopted.
Also, the following order:
Ordered, That the Baltimore and Drum Point Railroad
Company, forthwith report to this House, how much money
they have received from the State, counties, and private in-
dividuals on account of said Company, and for what purpose,
how the same has been expended, and what remains on hand.
And also, That they forthwith report to this House how
many of the bonds of the Annapolis and Elk Ridge Railroad
Company they have received, the amount and value thereof,
and how disposed of, to whom delivered, and for what pur-
pose, and by what authority the same have been received,
and disposed of, and how many thereof remain on hand.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Waters, of Carroll, submitted the following, order:
Ordered, That Wednesday night of this week,-be devoted
to the consideration of General Bills alone. Which
On motion of Mr. Berkemier,
Was laid on the table.
Hon. R. C. Hollyday, Secretary of Stale, presented a.
message from his Excellency, the Governor.
The Speaker submitted to the House the following message
from his Exellency, the Governor:
EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,
Annapolis, March 13th, 1876.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :
I have the honor of informing you that I have approved
and signed the following Acts, which originated in the
House of Delegates:
No. 54. An Act to extend the charter oi the Grand Divi-
sion of the State of Maryland, of the Order of the Sons of
Temperance, passed at December Session, 1845, ch.: 159.
No. 55. An Act to repeal the Act passed at January Ses-
sion, 1874, ch. 439, entitled an Act to regulate the issuing;
