Ordered, That Mr. Given be granted leave of absence on
account of sickness.
Also,
Ordered, That Mr. Baldwin be granted leave of absence
to-day, on important business.
On motion of Mr. Culbreth,
Ordered, That Mr. Goldsborough be excused from atten-
dance in this House until Tuesday, he having been called to
Virginia to see a sick member of his family.
On motion of Mr. Lambdin,
Ordered, That Mr. Waters, of Dorchester have leave of
absence for several days, to attend to important business.
Also,
Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that Mr.
Smith, of Dorchester, is absent from his seat on account of
sickness.
On motion of Mr. Vandiver,
Ordered, That no local bill for any county or legislative
district shall be consided at the Evening Session of this
House, unless a majority of the members of said county or
district be present.
On motion of Mr. Hance,"
Ordered, That Mr. Gwynn be excused from further atten-
dance as a Member of this House until Monday next, in con-
sequence of sickness in his family.
On motion of Mr. Lewis,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to in-
troduce a bill to authorize the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore to issue bonds to an amount not exceeding the sum
of $750,000, to provide for an extension and improvement of
the Court House in said city.
On motion of Mr. Hodges,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Cockey, Neal and Hodges to
introduce a bill to empower the surviving Trustees of Meet-
ing House of the Associated Methodist Church in Centerville,
or a majority of them to convey a certain lot of ground in said
town to the Trustees of the Methodist Protestant Church at
Centreville, in Queen Anne's county, State of Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Hoblitzell,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 31, 34 and
36 of Article 56, of the Code of Public General Laws, and re-
enact the same to read as follows.
