Senate bill entitled an Act to grant certain additional,
powers to the Johns Hopkins University, a corporation in-
corporated under the General Laws of Maryland.
Which was read a second time.
Also, reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 1, 3 and 5, of
chapter 219, of the Acts passed at Session of 1853, and re-
enact the same with amendments.
Which was read a first time.
Also, reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to authorize and require the Attor-
ney General to institute proceedings to forfeit the charter of
the Baltimore and Havre-de-Grace Turnpike Company.
Which was read a first time.
Mr, Iloblitzell, from of the Committee on the Judiciary,
reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to provide for the defense of certain
persons, citizens of this State, against whom presentments
have been made in the District Court of the United States,
for the District of Maryland, for offences againt the laws of
the United States, alleged to have been by them committed
at the recent municipal and State elections held in the City
of Baltimore
Which was road a first time.
Mr. Constable, Chairman of the Committee on the Ju-
diciary, reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 177, of Article 93,
of the Code of public General Laws, title "Testamentary
Law," sub-title "Guardian and Ward," and re-enact the
same with amendments.
Which was read a first time and made the order of the
day lor Saturday! March 11th, at 1 o'clock.
Also, reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act giving the sanction of the General
Assembly of Maryland, to a legacy bequeeted by John
Sereeder, late of Carroll county, deceased, in his late will
and testament to the elders of the Maryland and Virginia
Eldership of the Church of God.
