On motion of Mr. Whitelock,
Leave was granted tp the Committee on the Judiciary, to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to amend Article 69 of the
Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Officers," by add-
ing thereto additional Sections, regulating and prescribing the
number and compensation of officers of the Senate and
House of Delegates, and repealing all Acts inconsistent
therewith, said additional Sections to follow Section 12 of said
Article.
On motion of Mr. Harig,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Inspections to in-
troduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at the
session of 1870, chapter 148, entitled an Act to add addi-
tional sections to the Act of 1865, chapter 36, entitled an
Act to incorporate the German Fire Insurance Company of
Baltimore, and also to repeal Sections 2, 3 and 6 of the said
Act of 1865, chapter 36, entitled an Act to incorporate the
German Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore, and to re-
enact said three Sections with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Robinson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill to provide for the valuation and assess-
ment of the property of the State.
On motion of Mr. Robinson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to introduce
a bill to authorize the Treasurer, upon the warrant of the
Comptroller, to pay the clerks of Tobacco Warehouse No. 1
the amount of salaries due them.
On motion of Mr. Coburn,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Grand Lodge of the U. S.
of the Independent Order of Odd-Fellows.
On motion of Mr. Hoblitzell,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal Section 37, of Article 75, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Pleadings, Practice and
Process," sub-title "Practice," and to re-enact the same as
amended.
On motion of Mr. Waters, of Dorchester,
Leave was granted to the Talbot and Dorchester delega-
tions to introduce a bill to repeal an Act passed at the Janu-
ary session of 1874, chapter 437, entitled "an Act to autho-
