The bill entitled an Act to repeal Sub-Section 21 of Sec-
tion 3 of ch 483, of Act of 1874, entitled an Act to repeal
Art. 81, of the Code of Public General Laws of the State of
Maryland, entitled "Revenue and Taxes," and to re-enact
the same with amendments, and re-enact the same 90 as to
read as follows.

The bill entitled an Act to add additional Sections to the
Code of Public General Laws, Art. 30, title "Crimes and
Punishments," providing for the punishment of abduction
of children,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay the claims of Edward Powers, John Murphy & Co.,
Kelly, Piet & Co., Isaac D. Jones, Daniel Caulk, Wm. J.
Read and Jas. S. Franklin.
Mr. Gill offered the following amendment:

Strike out from the word "thereof" in Section 1 to the end
of the Section.
Mr. Hinks demanded a division of the question.
