Senate bill entitled an Act to refund to the executor or ad-
ministrator of Samuel H. Birckhead, deceased, late collector
of Harford county, a sum of money erroneously paid into the
Treasury,

Mr. Hoblitzell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commissioner
of the Land Office to continue the indexing of certain land
records and extracts of deeds transferred to the Land Office
from the Office of the Clerk of the Court of Appeals, under
Act of 1874, chapter 66.

ciary, reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 51, 52 and 53
of Article 16 of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Chancery," sub-title "Injunction," and to re-enact the
same with amendments.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Constable, Chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, reported without advice,
Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article 37 of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Evidence," by adding
thereto certain additional Sections, under sub-title "Senate
and House of Delegates," giving power to certain officers
and persons in the Senate and House of Delegates of this
State to administer oaths to witnesses,, and to compel the
giving of testimony and production of evidence in certain
cases.
Which was considered, and postponed until Wednesday
next, at 12 o'clock.
Mr. Gill, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means,
reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money for
the purpose of removing the remains of Maryland soldiers of
the late Confederate States army, and interring them at
London Park Cemetery, and enclosing, arranging and keep-
ing in order and preserving the burial lot.
