The memorial of Lydia A Ramsburg and sixty-six other
ladies petitioning against the repeal of the Act of January ses-
sion, 1874, prohibiting the sale of intoxicating drinks within
three miles of Harrisonville, in Frederick coanty.
Which was read and referred to the Frederick delegation.
Mr. Hess presented the proceedings of the Board of Trade
of Baltimore, recommending suitable action on the part of
the General Assembly of Maryland to aid the centennial
exhibition and to have our State with its interest creditably
represented.
Winch was read and referred to the Committee on Federal
Relations.
Mr. Sprigg presented the petition of the Commissioners of
Allegany county, Maryland, relating to the National Road
or so much thereof as lies within the State of MaryJand.
Which was read and referred to the Allegany and Garrett
delegations.
Mr. Hodges presented the memorial of planters, buyers and
sellers of tobacco, in regard to the inspection thereof.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Inspec-
tions.
Mr. Hodges submitted the following order:
Ordered, That the Secretary of the Senate be requested to
iurnish this House with copies of the Resolutions of the States
of Virginia, Missouri and Delaware in regard to the inter-
ference of the organization of the Legislature of Louisiana
by the Federal authorities.
Which was read.
The question recurring upon the adoption of the order,
Mr. Scott moved to lay the order on the table.
Which was decided in the negative.
Mr. Naill moved that the further consideration thereof be
postponed, and that the order be made the order of the day
for Tuesday next.
Which was decided in the negative.
