Mr. Brown presented the petition of Bros. Boninger, G. A.
Shleushto, and 25 other merchants of Baltimore city, against
the removal of State Tobacco Warehouses.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Inspec-
tions.
Mr. Rinehart presented three petitions from Edward Lynch,
David Rinehart John Englar, and 120 other citizens of Car-
roll county, for the passage of an Act prohibiting cattle or
stock running at large.
Which was read and referred to the Carroll delegation
Mr. Rinehart presented the petition from H. Haines, E. S.
Stouffer, Isaac C. Baile and 135 other citizens of Carroll
county, for the passage of an Act to exempt Carroll county
from the provisions of the General Law, exempting the sum
of $100 from attachment.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
Mr. Hinks presented the petition of C. H. Keefer and
others, citizens of Maryland, prayiag that there be no reduc-
tion in the appropriation for colored schools, &c.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Neal presented the following order:
Ordered, That the Speaker be, and he is hereby requested
to appoint one additional Committee Clerk and one additional
Folder, the latter to be assigned, when required, to such duties
as are performed by the Pages.
Mr. Lewis moved to amend, "and one additional door
keeper."
On motion of Mr. Naill,
The further consideration was postponed until to-morrow.
Mr. Vandiver offered the following order:
WHEREAS, There was a bill introduced here on the 24th of
February, and referred to the Committee on Fisheries, re-
pealing and re-enacting with amendments chapter 150, of the
Acts of 1874, relating to the Commissioners on Fisheries,
which bill has not, as yet, been reported on.
Therefore be it ordered, That the Committee on Fisheries
be, and are hereby ordered to report said bill to-morrow or
show reason to the contrary.
Which was rejected.
On motion of Mr. Baldwin,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to. establish an additional
precinct in the Ninth District, of Baltimore county.
