Mr. Fitzjarrell presented the petition of citizens of Talbot
county, asking that all grain carried to Baltimore for sale
shall be weighed by the State Weigher.

Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the appointment
of a collector and measurer, and have economical collection
of taxes in Dorchester county, and to repeal Sections 77, 78,
79, 80, 81 and 82, of Article 10, of the Code of Public Local
Laws for said county, and enact the following in lieu thereof.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Dorchester
delegation.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to empower the Clerk of the
County Commissioners of Calvert and Washington counties,
to administer an oath or affirmation to any person presenting
a claim to the Commissioners of said county, against the
county.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Calvert and
Washington county delegations.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act giving the sanction of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, to the sale and conveyance of
land from Joseph Cotidon and Caroline Coudon, his wife, to
the vestry of St. Mary Ann's, or North Elk Parish, in Cecil
county.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the Constitution of
the "Henry Watson Children's Aid Society of Baltimore,"
as the same was enacted by Act of 1872, chapter 14.
