Mr. Robinson presented the petition of Messrs. Hamilton,
Harris and Brewer, asking for Local Option.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Temper-
ance.
Mr. Ward presented the memorial of John Ford, and 500
other citizens of Cecil county, praying for an Act prohibiting
the sale of spirituous liquors in the town of North East, and
within two miles of its corporate limits.
Which was read and referred to the Cecil delegation.
Mr. Smith, of B. co., presented the petition from 46 citi-
zens of Baltimore county, asking a change in the law regula-
ting the appointment of School Commissioners.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.
Mr. Snowden presented the memorial of John Richardson,
Supervisor of Tobacco Inspection, showing the necessity of
re-building Tobacco Warehouses Nos. 1 and 2.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Inspec-
tions.
Mr. Robinson presented the petition of John Parrish, Thos.
Frazier, J. R. Lowman and 57 others, citizens of Annapolis,
asking for Local Option.
Which was read and referred to a Select Committee on-
Temperance.
