A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to issue city stock for the purpose of
redeeming the five million loan, known as "Baltimore Water
Stock," redeemable at pleasure on and after the 1st day of
May, 1875, and to provide for the payment of all taxes,
State, Federal or otherwise, to which said stock or the interest
on the indebtedness of the said city,
Was read a first time.
Mr. Ranger, Chairman of a Selest Committee, reported fa-
vorably,
The bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Washington county to fund certain indebtedness of
the Board of County School Commissioners of Washington
county, by issuing bonds therefor, and to levy a tax for the
payment of the same.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
State's Attorneys for Dorchester and Caroline counties to
stet certain cases on the dockets of the Circuit Courts for said
counties respectively,

reported favorably,
A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland State
Grange, Patrons of Husbandry.
