The bill entitled an Act to repeal and re enact with amend-
ments, Article 89, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Slander," to enable married women to maintain actions for
words spoken maliciously touching the character, or reputa-
tion for chastity and tending to the injury thereof.
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to provide against fraudulent vot-
ing at Elections,
Being upon a second reading,
Mr. Vandiver moved to strike out the enacting clause of
said bill.
The question recurring upon sustaining the motion,
