The bill entitled an Act to add an additional Section to
Article 75, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Pleadings, Practice and Process," sub-title "Practice to
regulate the argument of causes in jury trials,"
Being upon a second reading,
Mr. Rusk submitted the following amendments.
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
"Exempt the Sixth Judicial Circuit from the opera-
tion of the law."
Add after word "Court," in 9th line of 1st Section, the
following "provided also that the provisions of this law, shall
not apply to the Courts of Washington county."
"And provided further that this Act shall not apply to-
the Fifth and Seventh Judicial District of the State."
"Exempt Baltimore county."
"Amend by exempting Harford county from the provi-
sions of the bill."
"Exempt Carroll county."
"Amend by exempting Montgomery county from the pro-
visions of this bill."
After word "Court," in 9th line — add "and further pro-
vide that this law shall not apply to the Courts of Baltimore
city."
"This shall not apply to the First Judicial District."
"Exempt Kent county."
"Exempt Allegany county,"
Which were severally read.
The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ments,
Mr. Hodges moved that the further consideration of the
bill be postponed, and that said bill, tcgether with pending
amendments be recommitted to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
The question then recurring upon the adoption of the-
amendments,
