On motion of Mr. Lamotte,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to amend the charter of the Manchester and
Parkton Railroad Company.
On motion of Mr. Lancaster,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Lancaster, Hawkins and
Mattingly to introduce a bill to abolish gates on the public
roads of Charles county.
On motion of Mr. Scott,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intro-
duce a bill to grant a pension to Elizabeth Harrigan, of
Washington county, widow of John Harrigan, a soldier of
the War of 1812.
On motion of Mr. Mattingly,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Mattingly, Dunbar and Lan-
caster to introduce a bill to prevent in St. Mary's county, the
removal, or improper disposition of property, that has been
Jevied upon.
On motion of Mr. Dunbar,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to pay Thos. L. Freeman a sum of money errone-
ously paid into the Treasury.
On motion of Mr. Scott,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions, to intro-
duce a bill to grant a pension to Ann Roberts, of Washing-
ton county, widow of Joseph Roberts, a soldier of the war of
1812.
On motion of Mr. Brown,
Ordered, That the Committee on Inspection be allowed to
ait to-day for one hour, during the Session of the House, to
lear a delegation of Planters on Inspection.
On motion of Mr. Fitzjarrell,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Fitzjarrel, Dodson and Cul-
breth, to introduce a bilf entitled an Act to refund to Tilgh-
man N. Chance, of Talbot county, the sum of $200, being
the amount of bail bonds forfeited to the State as surety for
James H. Andrew.
On motion of Mr. Hodges.
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries, to introduce a bill providing for the
expenses of arrest and boarding of persons confined for vio-
lation of the Oyster Law.
