Mr. Chaisty presented the petition of Whitely Brothers,
Tyler & Brothers and 1,200 other citizens of Baltimore, ask-
ing for Local Option.
Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.
Mr. Ward presented the petition of F. H. Elderidge and
45 other citizens of Cecil county, praying against a law to
permit the taking offish by pounds or any other stake nets
in the Sassafras River.
Which was read and referred to the Cecil delegation.
Mr. Hooper presented the petition of George Berry, Ebe-
nezer Norwood and 195 citizens of Baltimore county, against
the passage of a bill prohibiting cattle running at large in
said county.
Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county del-
egation.
Mr. Briscoe presented the petition of Walter Gather and 31
others, asking for the passage of a law for the protection of
foxes in Cecil county.
Which was read and referred to the Cecil delegation.
Mr. Koons presented the petition of G. W. Miller and
others, of Frederick county, asking for a change in the man-
agement and course of instruction of the Maryland Agricul-
tural College and an appropriation therefor.
