Mr. Hooper presented the petition from Hugh Bowen and
Wm. Gibson, asking for the passage of a law prohibiting
sale of liquor within three-fourth3 of a mile of Gray's Fac-
tory, Baltimore county,
Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county
delegation.
Mr. Waters of Dorchester presented the petition of L. P.
Marshall and one hundred other citizens, asking for Dorches-
ter county to pass a general Local Option Law in that county.
Which was read and referred to the Dorchester delegation.
Mr. Neal presented the petition of Thos. A. Embert, Wm.
Carmichael aud other citizens of Queen Anne's county in
favor of change in the Oyster Law.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Mr. Purnell presented the petition of Wm. R. Powell and
others, citizens of Worcester county, against the repeal of
the Local Option Law for said county.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Purnell, Onley
and Dashiell.
Mr. Smith, of Dorchester, presented the petition of Charles
Lake and 90 other citizens of the lower districts of Dorches-
ter county, asking a law to protect fish in the Blackwater
river in said county.
Which was read and referred to the Dorchester delegation.
Mr. Rinehart presented the petition from Thos. Shepperd
and others, asking tor the passage of an Act to regulate grain
weighing.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Inspec-
tions.
