The bill entitled an Act to pay to Philip W. Downes and
George M. Russum, a sum of money for services rendered
the State as counsel in the case of United States, against
William H. Whiteley, an officer of registration of the State
of Maryland, for the 1st Election District of Caroline
county.

The bill entitled an Act declamatory of the Act of the
General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January Ses-
sion, 1853, chapter 109, entitled an Act to amend an Act
entitled an Act to amend an Act entitled an Act to incor-
porate the Wendwood Saving Institution of Baltimore, by
allowing said institution the privilege embraced under the
Act entitled an Act to continue the corporate existence of
the several banking institutions therein mentioned, pissed at
January Session, 1853, chapter 441, and to extend the cor-
porate existence of the Peoples' Bank of Baltimore.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill entitled an. Act to repeal Scions 1, 2, 3, 4,
5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20,
title "Baltimore county," sub-title "Roads," passed at the
Jaauary Session of the Legislature, of 1874, chapter 274
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
