Mr. Hinks submitted the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Section 1, line 21, strike out the word "four" and insert
"five."
Section 1, line 22, strike out the word "three" and insert
"four."
Section 1, line 24, strike out the word "two" and insert
"three."
The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ments,
Mr. Snowden demanded the previous question.
The demand being sustained,
The question then recurred upon the adoption of the
amendments.
They were severally rejected.
Mr. Hinks submitted the following amendments:

Inline 21, Section 1, strike out "four" and insert "four
and three-quarters."
In line 22, strike out "three" and insert "three and three-
quarters."
In line 24, strikeout "two" and insert "two and three-
quarters."
Which were severally read and rejected.

grossment of Section 1.

The first Section was then ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Section, in Section 2, line 3, after the word "all," insert
the word "coal."
In Section 2, line 3, strike ont the words "including gon-
dolas."
Which were severally read and rejected.

reading.
