county, be divided into two districts.

Mr. Dodson presented the petition of Edward 8. Harrison,
Wm. H. Valliaht and others, citizens of Talbot county,
within Oxford School District, asking for the passage of a
law authorizing the Commissioners of Oxford, to deed a
piece of land to the County Board of School Commissioners
for the purpose of erec ing a school house thereon.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Dodson, Fitzjarell
and Riggs.
Mr. Fenton presented the petition of Sarah J. Carlile for a
pension.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Gordy presented the petition of Elward Buffrrd, Eli
Robinson and 25 citizens of Sharptown District, Wicomico
county, asking exemption from the provisiots of the Local
Option Law.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Gordy, Dashiell
and Purnell.
Mr. Ward presented the petition of citizens of Cecil county,
asking that a sum of money be refunded to C. P. Saunders,
O. F. Myers and Geo. B. Penington of said county.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
Mr. Gordy presented the petition of J. C. Alien, Simon
Malone and 520 other citizens of Wicomico county, praying
the passage of a Local Option Law for Wicomico county
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Gordy, Dashiell
and Purnell.
Mr. Naiil presented the memorial of David W. Naill and
many other citizens of Liberty District, Frederick county,
asking for a division of said election district, the new district
to be called Oak Orchard District.
Which was read and referred to the Frederick delegation.
