therein assigned, he had not sought to ascertain the amount
of paid up capital of the Banks in question, and
Whereas, it is the duty of the said Treanurer, to possess
himself of all accessible information bearing on the condi-
tion of the institutions holding the tends of the State "for
safe keeping and forthcoming when required."
Be it ordered. That the Treasurer of the State be, and he
is hereby directed at once to procure and iurnish this House
the information respecting the paid up capital of the institu-
tions aforesaid, an required by its order of the 9th of Feb-
ruary, and be it further
Ordered, That he shall at the same-time furnish this House
with the amount of stock, if any, held by the State in any
ef the Banks in this State respectively.
