So the motion to lay the order on the table was decided in
the affirmative.
On motion of Mr. Chaisty, it was
Ordered, That the correspondents of the Baltimore and
other papers on the floor of this House, be furnished with
copies of each of the Documents ordered to be printed by the
House.
Mr. Donaldson submitted the following order :
Ordered, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be re-
quest d to furnish this House with a statement, showing
upon a specie basis the yearly difference, if any, between the
five per cent interest paid in London on the State's sterling
bonds by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company, during
such time as it was so paid, and the six per cent, per annum
interest due on the State's investment in said Company ; and
also, a statement of the amount in coin value of the dividends
received by the State on such investment, since such time, as
the same have been paid directly into the State Treasury,
and also, of the difference, if any, between the coin value of
soch dividends, and the five per cent, interest paid by the
State upon its said sterling bonds since such time.
Which was adopted.
The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day,
The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill enti-
tled an Act, making appropriations for the support of the
State Government for the year ending the 31st of December,
1876,
